FAQ

How effective is Osteopathic treatment?

Scientific and medical studies have consistently shown osteopathic treatment to have high patient satisfaction for management of back, neck and other musculoskeletal pain.

How will I feel after the treatment?

Occasionally, you may be more aware of your symptoms for a short time following treatment. This is due to the release of certain chemicals that make nerve endings very sensitive. This is a normal response and will resolve within 24-48 hours.

How long will my consultation take?

During your initial consultation your Osteopath will require more time to assess and apply treatment to your condition so allow yourself between 40 to 50 minutes. All subsequent consultations should take 15 to 25 minutes on average.

Is Osteopathic treatment covered by private health insurance, Work Cover or Motor Accident Authority?

Yes, Osteopathic treatment is covered under all the above. For private health insurance it forms part of your ancillary or extras cover and the rebate will vary depending on your level of cover. If you have an insurance claim under Work Cover or MAA please provide us with your insurers details and claim number.

How will treatment affect my current gym or exercise program?

Your Osteopath will recommend either some simple exercises to incorporate into your routine or significantly modify your routine until your condition is resolved.

Do I need to book my appointments?

Yes, booking is essential. The clinic is extremely busy and runs on a very tight schedule. It is always a good idea to book several weeks in advance to ensure you get your preferred date and time.
