This work led to a natural progression into osteopathy to round his rehab experience. He went on to study in the osteopathic field at the University of Western Sydney, graduating with distinction in both the Bachelor of Applied Science in 2005 and Master of Osteopathy in 2007. Alan is a University Dean’s medalist and recipient of the highest grade point average across his university peers.

Following the completion of his professional training Alan has established himself as a highly competent Osteopath in two clinics in Chatswood and Newtown.
Between 2004 -2007 Alan lectured and tutored in Clinical and Functional Anatomy at the University of Western Sydney. Maintaining a keen interest in these fields, Alan bases his diagnosis and treatment upon a strong anatomic and physiological rationale.
As an osteopath, Alan’s broad interests in pain have led him to develop a strong focus in acute neck and back pain. With a sports science background and experience working with sporting teams and elite level athletes, Alan has developed his work in treating and rehabilitating sports injuries.
Alan’s treating style follows a primarily biomechanical model where specific joint mobilization and manipulations are used with great specificity and minimal leverage allowing for safe and gentle applications.
Alan comes to Sydney Osteopathic Medicine highly recommended as a thoughtful and skilled osteopath with a broad range of professional and personal skills.
